Introduction: The Companies Defining What’s Next

As the CEO of Re:Tech and someone deeply involved in retail tech ecosystem, I keep being asked one central question: Which startups are actually shaping the future of retail?

This is exactly why we took the time to curate the Top 100 Israeli Retail Tech Startups list.

This year’s list comes at a defining moment for the ecosystem. After a period of correction, Israeli retail tech is accelerating again, with funding up 136% year over year, larger and healthier rounds, and a strong base of 450–500+ active companies continuing to build and scale.

Startups are increasingly focused on the areas retailers rely on every day, from payments and infrastructure to supply chain, analytics, and ecommerce enablement. These are not experimental solutions. They are technologies already being deployed, integrated, and scaled globally. That shift is exactly why the Top 100 matters. It is a curated view of the startups turning this momentum into real-world impact.

This list is part of our extensive report mapping the entire Israeli retail tech ecosystem, which we recently published in collaboration with Startup Nation Central, Moonshot AI and Metrico. Why the Top 100 Retail Tech Startups Matters

The Israeli retail tech ecosystem is dense, fast-moving, and increasingly global.

With hundreds of active companies operating across multiple categories, identifying the ones that truly matter has become more complex. At the same time, capital is concentrating into fewer, stronger businesses, and retailers are becoming more selective about the technologies they adopt. This creates a clear need for focus. Over the past year, through our work with retailers, brands, and startups globally, I’ve seen a clear shift, less focus on experimentation, and a much stronger push toward solutions that drive measurable business impact.

The Top 100 highlights the companies that stand out not just for innovation, but for execution. These are startups that are:

  • Embedded in real retail workflows
  • Demonstrating commercial traction
  • Built for global deployment from the onset

Together, they represent a cross-section of the ecosystem at its most relevant and most impactful.

Introducing the Top 100 Israeli Retail Tech Startups

The companies featured in the Top 100 reflect the direction of the ecosystem as a whole. Across the list, several themes emerge:

Strong presence of infrastructure focused solutions across payments, security, logistics, and analytics
Products designed for global deployment from the outset
Clear emphasis on improving efficiency, margins, and operational performance

These patterns reflect a broader shift in retail. Technology is being adopted as a core operational layer, supporting everything from supply chain visibility to customer engagement. What stood out to me most is how consistent this shift is across categories. Whether it’s supply chain, payments, or personalization, the strongest companies are the ones solving real operational problems, not just improving experiences.

Methodology: How the Top 100 Retail Tech Startups List Was Built

The Top 100 was developed through a combination of company applications, proprietary ecosystem mapping from the Re:Tech database, and broader market analysis. Each company was evaluated by a selection committee made up of investors, retail leaders, and technology executives, and I was personally involved in reviewing and shaping many of these decisions alongside our selection committee. This structure ensured a range of perspectives across investment, operations, and product development.

Every company was reviewed by multiple judges from different backgrounds, creating a balanced and consistent evaluation process. The criteria focused on:

  • Relevance to retail use cases
  • Product maturity and scalability
  • Market traction
  • Alignment with the operational priorities of global retailers and brands

The outcome is a curated selection of companies positioned to deliver measurable impact in real retail environments.
