On March 27 Re:Tech and Viola Ventures published a new report covering the key trends in the Israeli Retail Tech space. The report was published in Israel’s leading financial newspaper, The Marker, and is available to download.

Here are some key highlights from the report:

  • Israel, a country of only 8 Million people, has 500+ startups specializing in retail tech. In recent years, multinationals such as Nike, Alibaba and Walmart are showing a growing interest in solutions coming from Israel.
  • In 2018, 32 Israeli retail tech startups raised a total of $428Mwith an average investment of $14.5. This shows a growth of 20% since 2017.
  • According to CrunchBase, the global investment in retail tech in 2018 was $4.7B; 10% of these investments were raised by Israeli startups.
